Toy Story 3 for the win

After looking up the nominations for the Oscars, I noticed that I haven’t seen many movies. From all the movies nominated, I’ve only seen four. Those four being Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland, Tangled, and The Social Network.

Buttercup, the best character in Toy Story 3
I feel so behind because all of my friends have seen more of them, but unlike them, I’m a smart college student and save my money for more important things, like food.

I actually really liked all four of the movies I’d seen, Toy Story 3 being my favorite. It brought out so much emotion in me, actually making me cry. Toy Story 3 is being nominated for Best Writing (adapted screenplay), Best Picture, Best Animated Film, Sound Editing, and Music (original song) for we belong together. I would love for them to win Best Animated Film.

It was the best animated film I had seen all year. I actually have two of the stuffed animals, Buttercup the unicorn and Mr. Pricklepants the hedgehog. Buttercup is my favorite character, I wish there was a category for best animated character, because he would win.

Alice in Wonderland for Costume Design
Another fantastic movie that was nominated for Oscars was Alice in Wonderland. It has been nominated for Visual Effects, Costume Design, and Art Direction. I would love for it to win for Costume Design. The costumes in this movie were fantastic and very colorful, just like they should be. But seeing as Alice in Wonderland is up against Harry Potter, I highly doubt it will win in any of the categories.

I’m predicting that Black Swan or Inception will win Best Picture just from the reviews I’ve heard from friends that have seen the movie. I want to see both of them but haven’t gotten the chance to.

When I sit to watch the Oscars, I just hope for at least one win for Toy Story 3, that movie was amazing, even while being a third in a series.
