Winter Sucks!!

Why is it so cold?
Emily Haggerty, models for my class assignment.

I wake up to find it’s 30 degrees outside but feels like 19, the last time I checked I was still in Florida.

Can I go back home to sunny South Florida? I do not like how cold it is. I shouldn’t have to bundle up with three layers of sweaters, a scarf, gloves and hat just to stay warm, especially if we’re not even getting snow.

The only reason to bundle up that much would be to play in the snow, yet Florida hasn’t gotten any.

This is my third winter spent in Pensacola and I have yet to get used to it. I’ve been slowly taking out sweaters from my winter clothes box, yes, I have a box filled with winter clothes, kept under my dorm room bed, waiting to be worn.

I have fun, completely bundled up at Langley Park.
My room is currently at 67 degrees when it’s usually 70. In the morning, I don’t want to move. My bed is so warm but the rest of the room is so cold. Climbing out of bed at 3:30 a.m. to get to work was unbearable. I’m wearing what I had worn to class the day before with my Housing shirt over it and a sweater, yet I’m freezing and I’m sitting at a desk inside a building.
The theme was alcohol poisoning.

Every time someone walks in or out of the building, I get a blast of cold air blowing past me, forcing me to shiver. Luckily, at 4 a.m. not many people come in and out of the building. I’ve only seen four people during my whole two-hour long shift.

This winter is going to be tougher on me because I’m going to be outside more than usual to do my homework for classes. How am I going to survive doing my photography outside in this miserable weather?
Ended with bathroom shots.

I’m doing a photo shoot for my photojournalism class tonight and part of it I want shot at the park. The park is a huge open area where the wind will be free to blast my face. Trying to take pictures while wearing gloves isn’t very comfortable, meaning I’ll be taking a couple of pictures and then running to a heated car to escape the freeze.

Hopefully I’ll survive the photo shoot tonight with nothing more than a little chattering of my teeth.
